I offer workshops within a convenient travel radius from my home in central Connecticut, and tutorials through correspondence in print or on the web. All photographic mediums and skill levels are welcome. We can design a course of study and explore the geographical and seasonal elements that impact natural landscape photography in a way that is tailored to the individual needs of the client. Paramount in all classes will be the necessary attention that composition and image management demands from the photographer. Whether one works on film or in the digital medium, a mastery of composition is the most essential skill necessary to render a pleasing and compelling image of the landscape. We will cover the different lighting conditions and the advantages or limitations imposed by weather and seasonal conditions, and how to adapt the personal vision of the photographer to the subject matter and to the various nuances and variables one is faced with when working in the outdoors. Depth of field, the effects of different shutter speeds, choices of equipment, and travel management will be discussed along with the traditional aspects of photography of the natural landscape.

Rates are $75.00 per hour, maximum of $300.00 per day

Appointments will be arranged and locations decided upon prior to the workshop. Payment in full is expected at the conclusion of workshop activities. For online or remote correspondence, the charges will reflect one hour's service - $75.00. Payment will only be accepted through the Paypal link and must be made at the beginning of the consultation.
